Privacy Policy

There are no accounts here and no sign-ups. The one thing recorded about you is described below, and it is not enough to identify you.

Game ratings

When you rate a game, your IP address is combined with a secret value and a game name and run through a one-way hash. Only that hash is stored, never the address itself, and it cannot be turned back into one. It exists so a game can only be rated once per person, and so a flood of votes from a single source can be slowed down.

A hashed address still counts as personal data under the GDPR, which is why it is spelled out here rather than glossed over. Nothing else about the vote is kept: no name, no email, no browsing history, and no link between your rating and anything else you do on the site.

Analytics

Visits are counted with Cloudflare Web Analytics and Simple Analytics. Both are cookieless: they record aggregate figures such as which pages get opened and roughly where traffic arrives from, without building a profile of you or following you to other sites.

Spam protection

Ratings and the contact form are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a submission comes from a person rather than a script. It runs invisibly, so there is nothing to click. Cloudflare's handling of the data this involves is described in the Turnstile Privacy Addendum.

Games from other sites

Every game here is made and hosted by someone else, and is either opened in a window on its page or linked directly. Once a game loads you are on their site and their privacy policy applies, not this one. They may set their own cookies, usually to remember your progress in that day's puzzle. Games loaded in a window are sent a no-referrer header, so they are not told which page you came from.
